From email fromH. Richardson .... John was a Local Preacher with the Wesleyans in the same Circuit in the late 1850s. He was recorded in the Preaching Plan for the North Walsham & Aylsham Circuit for 1858. At that time, John Neech was living at Aylsham. A few years later, John Neech moved to Croydon and became the Chapel Keeper at the Wesleyan Chapel in Tamworth Road Croydon. Sadly the Chapel has long been demolished. It was after John Neech's move to Croydon that many of their children were born, and Walter Punshon was presumabley named after the prominent Wesleyan preacher of that time William Morley Punshon, who lived at Brixton and is buried at Norwood Cemetery. Furthermore, both families ended up in the Willesden area, and Lucy married Walter at the Harlesden Wesleyan Chapel in 1904.
John Neech (1827-1888) married Sarah Harris on 24 October 1854 at the Wesleyan Chapel at Holt, near Erpingham, Norfolk. Sarah is aged 24 at the time of the marriage, and her father's name is William Harris,a miller. Sarah's address is given as Holt. John Neech, aged 28, is described as a farmer, and living at Felmingham. The marriage was conducted by the Revd John Danks, Wesleyan minister, in the presence of the registrar, Joseph Coleman.
