To all &c. Whereas &c. Now Know ye that I the said Thomas Lord Culpeper &c. Govern[or] &c. doe with the consent of the Councill of State accordingly Give and Grant unto John Price and William Ball one thousand Acres of land, lying in Rappahanock County towards the head of Piscattaway Creek, bounding as foll: Begining att Thomas Harpers Corner Gum by a small Island by ye maine Branch, Runing up the Branch two hundred and sixty pole to Coll. Goodriches his land, thence by his Bounds West seventy four pole, to a white oake by an Indian path, South ninety pole to another white oake, South West, West one hundred and forty pole to three Corner oakes, North West fifty pole to a small Red oake, thence West South West two hundred and four pole to a leaning Red oake, thence South West West Westerly three hundred pole to a Red oake, thence East by North Northerly, one hundred and thirty pole to a white oake, thence South East East Easterly one hundred seventy four pole to a small oake in Thomas Harpers line, thence North North East fifty three pole, thence East North East two hundred twenty Eight pole, over the [---?] branch, thence North by East one hundred and seventy pole, and finally East by South where it began, the said land being due by and for the transportacon of twenty persons into this Colony whose names are mentioned in the Records under this Pattent To have and to hold &c. To be held &c. yeilding and paying &c. Provided &c. Dated the sixteenth day of Aprill one thousand six hundred Eighty and three.
